New Book Details the Trials and Tribulations Author Endured
Author’s story will empower men and women in similar circumstances
LONGWOOD, FL—I Look Back and Wonder How I Got Over (ISBN 978-1-60957-897-8), a new title from Xulon Press, is the story of author Priscilla E. Flint’s life as a black woman growing up in Roxbury, Massachusetts. This riveting testimony reveals how the author struggled with a great many trials and tribulations in her life—mental breakdowns, homelessness, and the death of her two young sons—events which led her to accept Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior on May 2, 1991. However, it’s the life she led before she gave her life to God that will keep the reader turning the pages.
“I want the reader to know that even though we are not perfect, we serve a perfect God and He will allow us to come to Him and serve Him even though we may have done some terrible things in our lives,” the author says. “I want them to know that with all I went through in my life, God is awesome and loves us unconditionally. The most important thing about this book is the fact that God is great and greatly to be praised. That when we are at our lowest point and have no desire to live, He is there to pick us up and carry us.”
Flint, who personally experienced everything she writes about in the book, says that because of the sinful life she used to live, she felt as though no one cared about her. “It is only through the grace of God, that I am alive today, and able to talk about all the things that have happened to me,” she explains. “God released me to write this book in 2005, and today as a licensed minister and a true woman of God, I realize that I have a story to tell that will help and empower men and women.”
